The National Council Lecture Series Schedule

The National Council Lecture Series features talks by accomplished artists, art historians and critics which take place in the Schermer Meeting Hall.

All gallery exhibits take place in the Patton-Malott & Gartner Galleries located on the second floor of the Dows Barn administration building.

December Events

December 12:Holiday Open House

Anderson Ranch celebrates its 23rd artist-in-residence season. From 5:00 to 7:00 pm, resident artist and staff studios are open and a reception of the Holiday Exhibition takes place in the Anderson Ranch gallery. The Holiday Exhibition features work from resident artists and staff and will be on view until January 3.

January Events

January 10: Resident and Staff Slide Show, 7:00 pm. Winter artists-in-residence and the artistic staff at Anderson Ranch present images of their work.

January 15: Artists-In-Residence Exhibition reception from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. This exhibition features work from the Ranch’s winter residents and artistic staff. The exhibition runs from January 15 through February 6.

Beth Lipman slide lecture, January 15th at 7:00 pm Beth Lipman specializes in glass art. Her work exhibits nationally and she has taught at a number of schools including New York University, the Bard Graduate Center for the Decorative Arts and Penland School of Crafts.

February Events

February 26: Anderson Ranch Editions Exhibition opening reception from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. This exhibition features prints from the Anderson Ranch Editions collection. The exhibition is on view from February 26 through March 26.

Dr. Glenn Adamson slide lecture, 7:00 pm. Dr. Adamson is the Head of Graduate Studies in the Research Department at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

March Events

March 11: Kendall Buster slide lecture, 7:00 pm Kendall Buster’s large-scale sculptures are exhibited world-wide and in permanent collections such as the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.

March 27: Chris Doyle slide lecture, 7:00 pm Chris Doyle is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Recent work has been shown at The Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Queens Museum of Art, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center.

April Events

April 15: Spring Open House

Anderson Ranch celebrates its 23rd artists-in-residents season. From 5:00 to 7:00 pm, resident artist and staff studios are open and a reception of the Collage Show takes place in the Anderson Ranch gallery.

The Collage Show is open from April 15 through May 14 and features collages made at Anderson Ranch by prominent local artists.
