Star Wars Technology In The Healing Professions

joannejohnsonw.jpgAmong the basic rules in nature is that “light is the source of life”. Every living cell emits photons of light energy. The word laser is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. A laser instrument produces a very thin beam highly concentrated light energy.

Cutting lasers are currently in use for eye surgery and for delicate repairs of the heart and prostate gland. Low level lasers or ‘soft’ lasers have been used by doctors in Europe for over fifty years and, in the United States, by veterinarians for over a decade. Now low level lasers are being employed by chiropractors, dentists and some massage therapists.

Benefits that can be expected of laser treatment include: Reduction of pain, Diminishing of inflammation, swelling, redness and heat, Lymphatic drainage, Increased blood circulation, Stimulation of healing enzymes, Release of spasm in tight muscles, Accelerated bone repair, the cancelling wave effect on viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. Laser light restores health to ailing cells. In my practice, the Q 1000 model, with its multiple programs and broad energy range, has yielded dramatic results healing and eliminating pain in minutes.

Joanne has studied healing modalities from many cultures. Her massage combines Shiatsu, Swedish, Polarity, Reflexology, Myofascial Release and Aromatherapy. She is a Reiki master and CranioSacral practitioner and is now offering Low Level Laser Therapy for safe and speedy pain relief. In practice since 1972, she has been an ABMP member since 1995.
