Gray Line Offers Ground Transportation to Aspen
October 14, 2008
Aspen/Snowmass, the world’s leading resort destination and Gray Line, the world’s largest sightseeing, transportation and activity company have teamed up to provide the first luxury ground transportation service to the four mountains of Aspen and Snowmass. The new year-round operation will feature conveniently scheduled nonstop, luxury motorcoach service from the Denver International Airport. In addition to VIP checkin at Gray Line’s concierge facility at DIA, guests will enjoy guaranteed window/aisle seating, GPS tracking, on-board entertainment and customized amenities. Gray Line’s DIA operation will be supplemented by point-to-point service from Eagle County Regional Airport and the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport to the guest’s final resort accommodations.
As the Official Ground Transportation Partner of Aspen/Snowmass, Gray Line will provide meet and greet services as part of the VIP experience the moment guests land at DIA. Gray Line’s service will also include a night coach to ensure same-day resort arrivals for guests arriving late into Denver.
The new service will commence on November 14, 2008, and grow to up to six departures each day during the peak ski season. The off-peak and summer season schedule will offer departures tailored to demand. After arriving in Aspen by motorcoach, guests will have the option of continuing directly to their resort accommodations via a dedicated fleet of mini-buses and/or vans.
For Aspen/Snowmass guests arriving at either the Eagle County Regional Airport, or that preferably, fly directly into the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, Gray Line’s schedule will be based on flight arrivals and will provide point-to-point transfers or direct service to the guest’s resort accommodations.
“Gray Line has been providing first class tour and charter transportation service to Aspen/Snowmass and throughout Colorado for the past 65 years,” said Gray Line Colorado President, Chuck Murphy, “Our Official Partnership enables us to provide superior service in a way passengers traveling to Aspen Snowmass are accustomed.”
Proposed fares for the new airport service are as follows:
TO/FROM DIA TO/FROM EAGLE TO/FROM ASPEN Point-to-Point Door-to-Door Point-to-Point Door-to-Door Door-to-Door $105 $120 $60 $75 $15
Gray Line’s pricing policy guarantees all rates, once ticketed, through May 31, 2009, without any fuel or other surcharges.
A recognized leader in green transportation, Gray Line’s motorcoach service has the potential to keep over 300 cars off the road each day, reducing CO2 emissions by an average of 85% per passenger mile. Providing nearly 200 passenger miles per gallon, traveling by motorcoach is more than six times more fuel-efficient than traveling by car.
