Aspen Recreation Center Fall Maintenance Closure & Doggie Days
Attention Aspen Community, Roaring Fork Valley and loyal ARC Pass Holders, the Aspen Parks & Recreation Department would like to thank you for a great summer season and look forward to seeing you again soon.
The City of Aspen Parks and Recreation Department would like to announce the Maintenance closure of the Aspen Recreation Center. In order to keep the ARC operating at the high level of service you have become accustom to, the ARC will be closing for maintenance and cleaning from September 13th thru the 21st. This time will allow the City of Aspen to ensure that all systems operate efficiently and without down time for your continued enjoyment. Cleaning and maintenance will include all areas of the facility; the Lewis Ice Arena and the James E. Moore Pool. Public skating and programming will be available at the Aspen Ice Garden in town during the Lewis closure. The Red Brick Recreation Center is always open!
Don’t forget! If you are a dog owner, the ARC pools will be open on the Saturday, September 13th from 12:00-4:00pm, prior to the shutdown, for the enjoyment of our four legged friends. Bring your dog and let them enjoy a swim in the James E. Moore Pool. Doggy day will include fun and games from the Aspen Recreation Center Staff and your friends at Rocky Mountain Pet Shop. Cost: $5.00 per dog. All dogs must be registered, maintain current shots (tags and or paperwork), and be well socialized with other dogs and people.
