The Wild Eagle is Back!

Last spring, a wild golden eagle visited Hallam Lake’s resident eagle on an regular basis for several months. He returned last week after four months and has been spotted every day at the preserve. Stop by and catch a glimpse of this remarkable event!

This photo shows the wild eagle perched on the top of ACES’ resident golden eagle’s cage.

Seeking Winter Presenters
Potbelly Perspectives and Naturalist Nights

ACES is in the process of scheduling the Potbelly Perspectives and Naturalist Nights 2009 lecture series and there are a few slots still available.

Potbelly Perspectives is a lecture series that gives Aspen locals and visitors the chance to share exciting accounts of world travel and adventure through images and stories.

ACES and the Wilderness Workshop have teamed up to present Naturalist Nights, a lecture series featuring local experts who share the knowledge of the natural world, current research, and local environmental issus.

The lectures/slideshows are held every Wednesday and Thursday evening from January through March.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in presenting, please contact Lindsy Fortier by November 10th. Lfortier@aspennature.org or call 970-925-5756. Thank you!
