The Aspen Club will be holding their first Indoor Triathlon from May 12-17. This is a great way to kick off the triathlon season! Each participant will race against 3 other entrants in a 10 minute swim, 30 minute bike ride followed by a 20 minute run.

This is a great event for someone new to triathlon competition, or a great warm up for seasoned triathlete pros. The entry fee is $40 and proceeds will benefit 8 local charities.

The Aspen Club is offering Training and Membership packages geared toward triathlon style training to get you in the top shape for the 2008 season. For more information visit the Aspen Club & Spa.

Glenwood Caverns-Buy One, Get One Free

From March 31, 2008 through May 18, 2008 Glenwood Caverns is offering a free Tram Ride ticket when you buy the first ticket. You must present the coupon, which you can download and print.

The 4,300-foot-long tram ride starts at the Iron Mountain Station which is located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the scenic ride inside a six-person fully enclosed gondola, with large clear windows. The gondolas are wheelchair accessible, including motorized wheelchairs.

After visitors debark from the tramway gondolas, they can take a cave tour, eat at the mountain-top restaurant, Lookout Grille , try exciting thrill rides, or simply enjoy the expansive views. The park is open to visitors all year.

Play Dayz with Aspen Recreation-April Schedule

playdayz.jpgAre the kids out of school and need something fun to do? Come play with the Aspen Recreation Department! Play Dayz with Aspen Rec is a state licensed program designed for youth 5-14 years old (5 years old must be attending kindergarten) to come have fun with the Recreation Department staff on the days that they don’t have school. The dayz will be packed full of fun & educational activities. Play Dayz with Aspen Rec will cost $40 per day this fee covers the cost of staffing and supplies.

Interested in a Community Garden in Aspen, Colorado? Visit Rock Bottom Ranch’s community garden, we are looking for additional members to participate! Community Garden participants will have new opportunities to come and meet others in the community and learn new gardening skills during our new Come Garden With Us workshops. These garden workshops will focus on a variety of topics, including garden design, seed saving, harvesting the fruits of your labor, and getting your plants growing!
