Aspen Events - ESPN Winter X Games 12

This year (2008) will be the ESPN Winter X Games 12. Aspen Colorado has been hosting the Winter Games for 9 consecutive years, making it the longest time that any venue has held such a large-scale sporting event. Since Aspen is seen as a great place to hold the Winter X Games, extreme sports such as snowboarding, snowmobiling and skiing are on the agenda for this next year’s events.

There is also live coverage from these events, thanks to ESPN and ABC. Nielson ratings showed a substantial increase in home viewers last year, which was much to the surprise of many. Because of this, more of all of the ESPN cable affiliates will be hosting the Winter X Games 12 on their channels for the home viewers. Those that are there to compete are vying for medals and cash money prizes. It is free to the spectators to attend the Winter X Games 12, although there are tickets that must be handed out in order to enter the grounds. Aspen, Colorado is considered by some to be the skiing capital of the Rocky Mountains for those who are winter enthusiasts. Every winter season, Aspen hosts the World Cup series. This attracts the fanatical fans and enthusiasts of the World Cup generates. With the World Cup series come other activities that locals and resort visitors can take part in including the Bud Light Hi-Fi Concerts.
The Bud Light Hi-Fi Concerts have seen top selling entertainers perform, such as Gin Blossoms, The Offspring, and Arrested Development. The Bud Light Hi-Fi Concerts are so popular with those that are in attendance at the Aspen Winternational because they are free to the public. This is a time when many people will descend upon Aspen and see the World Cup skiers from around the globe compete, as well as have a fun time at the free Bud Light Hi-Fi Concerts.
Since there are different stages that are set up with numerous performers at any given time, the Bud Light Hi-Fi Concerts have become quite popular with those in attendance. The great thing about the Bud Light Hi-Fi Concerts series is that they continue to play from December thru March.
