At recreation centers such as the Blazing Adventures Activity Center, you are given a place close to nature as you can enjoy the exhilaration of riding horse back through many parts of Aspen, taking in the natural sights, smells and sounds of the country side. The horses provided are well trained, and all of the gear that is provided to you, so even beginners can enjoy the special thrill of riding a equine and taking in the natural beauty of the surrounding country and mountain side. Capitol Peak Outfitters offers a wide variety of wilderness horseback rides in the summer. They range from 2 hr. rides on the St. Benedict’s Monastery to ˝ day and all day trips into the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Area. Fishing is also available.
